The BLS check — we show our work

Every median in this report is printed next to its government benchmark. Advertised driver medians run 12–25% above the BLS incumbent median — new-hire driving offers lead the survey — while hourly warehouse and dispatch postings quote base starting rates, before differentials and tenure, and sit below it. The full calibration table is in the PDF. BLS OEWS reports May 2025; these are postings from April–June 2026.

What comp teams should do this quarter

Benchmark to the band, not the point — quote $50K–$83K for a Truck Driver and place each req deliberately. Localize before you match: a national median mis-prices driver pay by up to 18% by metro — in premium metros, benchmark to the metro band. And check reqs against this quarter’s floor: below P25 means recruiting from the bottom quartile of offers.

Methodology

Source: WageScape / MarketTrak — advertised-posting data from public job postings, April 1–June 30, 2026 (single quarter; no period-over-period claims). Sample: 2.4M postings across 5 core logistics roles. Listing-weighted national figures; every role reported as a P25/P50/P75 band, never a lone median; hourly-native roles quoted per hour. Pay levels are modeled from postings; the BLS check prints each median next to the BLS OEWS benchmark (May 2025), with deltas computed from the printed values. Aggregates only. Every figure reproduces from a saved, dated query snapshot.
